Since the passage of Roe v. Wade in 1973, anti-choice forces in the US have been making it their mission to dismantle women’s reproductive freedom. Their weapons: money, the legal system, the government, the media, the church, and a generation who have never known the ravages of illegal abortion.
Filmmaker Angie Young walks the viewer through the personal stories and images of women who died from illegal abortion, and the lengths women went through when they couldn’t access legal abortions. The movie also focuses on the growing activism of younger generations and the emerging coalition-building taking place across gender, racial, ethnic, and LGBTQ rights groups.
