Do you believe in women receiving medically accurate, unbiased information regarding their reproductive-health options? Then join the Truth Revealed Campaign today!

NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland’s Truth Revealed Campaign is working to protect women from the deceptive practices of crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs). Our research shows that Maryland CPCs are misinforming and misleading women about abortion and birth control to dissuade women from considering their full reproductive health options.

Do your part to expose these centers on December 14th and 17th when we will be calling our members and activists to ask for their support.

Legislation is being considered in Montgomery County that would let women know about the limited services offered by CPCs. The regulation would require CPCs to simply post a sign reminding women that these centers are not medical facilities. Anti-choice advocates are lining up against the bill, flooding council members with emails and calls. We need your help to counteract the anti-choice messages overwhelming the Montgomery County Council.

Enjoy the company of fellow pro-choice activists while working to ensure Montgomery County women receive medically accurate, unbiased information regarding their reproductive-health options.

There will be two days of phoning (same time each day), so please do not forget to RSVP for both days. Pizza and refreshments will be served both evenings.

Contact Melissa at Melissa@prochoicemd.org for more information and to RSVP.

Please consider a negotiation with your other engagements so you can join fellow activists at this historic event. Your presence is needed to preserve comprehensive health care for women. Calling all Montgomery County residents!

Stand up for women’s health by attending a County Council hearing for an important piece of legislation- the Required Disclaimers for Certain Pregnancy Resource Centers Regulation.

The Required Disclaimers for Certain Pregnancy Resource Centers Regulation addresses the continuing problem of crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs) giving false and misleading information to women seeking help. This common sense measure will let women know the limitations of the services offered by these facilities and ensure that they understand that it is important to seek medical treatment from a licensed health care provider.

We need your help to show that residents support this common sense regulation for the improvement of their communities. You can bet that anti-choice activists will be putting pressure on the council to reject the measure, so it is so important that the council members see that their constituents support this practical legislation.

Please arrive early to ensure you get a seat and dress in business attire.

If you cannot attend the hearing, please take action online and thank the council for supporting the bill.

If you have a personal story about a Montgomery County CPC that you would be willing to share, please contact Melissa@ProChoiceMD.org.

Believe it or not, it's time to prepare for NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland's premiere annual event, The Evening of Chocolate Gala. Local bakeries donate delicious desserts, while guests indulge on infamous chocolate martinis and vie for an array of luxurious auction & raffle items.

This event could not be a success without the generous support of dedicated volunteers. There are numerous ways for volunteers to get involved, including preparing invitations, dessert pick-up and delivery, guest registration, and much more.

The first opportunity to get involved is scheduled for September 3 from 6-8pm. Help us prepare our beautiful invitations for our most prominent guests. This is a great chance to meet the staff, interns, and other volunteers! There will be pizza and drinks provided to all participants. Get a sneak peek at this year’s invitations and start getting excited for the gala!

If you are not able to attend this event, but would like to get involved with the Evening of Chocolate Gala, please email Melissa@prochoicemd.org directly.

America has lost a true hero in Dr. George Tiller, murdered last Sunday by an anti-choice gunman. A physician, abortion provider, and tireless advocate for reproductive rights, Dr. Tiller was known for his compassion and commitment to providing quality care.

Dr. Tiller’s death has left the pro-choice community shocked, saddened, and confused. On June 18, NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland will provide a space to talk about the complex emotions stirred up by this recent event. Join us at Baltimore’s Windup Space for an hour of conversation and reflection – and to find out what can be done, in these frightening times, to help women continue to access the health care and services they need.

This session of reflection will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. To RSVP or for more information, email Melissa Kleder at Melissa@prochoicemd.org.

The tragic murder of Dr. George Tiller is an important reminder that abortion providers and women seeking reproductive health care need on-the-ground support from the pro-choice community.

Clinics across Maryland are in need of peacekeeping escorts. Join NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland and the Washington Area Clinic Defense Task Force (WACDTF) for a free training.

Escorts provide a peaceful and reassuring presence for patients, their companions, and staff outside clinics being harassed by anti-choice protesters. Escorting is an important way to support local abortion providers and the women who need their care.

At the training we will talk about clinic safety concerns and precautionary practices that protect against violence. WACTDF volunteers and clinic staff have not experienced violence at a Maryland clinic in over a decade.

Please join us and learn how to become a clinic escort.

Contact Melissa Kleder at melissa@prochoicemd.org to RSVP and for exact location information.
